Courage 2 - Alone and Lost Walkthrough

Welcome to a free indie horror game walkthrough. This is my first guide so, let's get through it!

First of all you must know who are the enemies of this game and their abilities or you'll end up going to a dead-try again-spree.

Creeper - these are the noisy zombies that will chase you. They are slower compared to the rest of the enemies but still they are fast enough to catch you if you stop running away from them.

Stalker - this teleporting-silent-faceless monster will come out in front you, behind you, on your left, or on your right, there are no way of detecting them where they'll come out. The only way you can outmatch this one is to turn off your flashlight and they will be slowed down thus giving you time to run.

Silent Creeper - just like the stalker this mad girl will appear out of nowhere and will chase you. It is way more faster than the first two and also way more deadlier. The flashlight trick won't affect her and your only way of survival if you encounter this thing is to run. However, after 10-15 seconds, they'll be gone.

Mementos - probably you're worst enemy ever. This guy will jump out of nowhere right in front of you and scares you making you dizzy and slows you down for a few seconds.

Ok that's pretty much it, let's get going...

Prologue

The game starts as you woke up in a middle of a forest. Alexander then tells you "what's that down below? I should probably check it out". Just follow the enter the broken gate and go straight down the hill until you see the asylum. Go straight in front of the door and enter the asylum.

Tips: A mementos will jumpscare you as you go nearer the asylum's door. It is unavoidable so just, prepare yourself.

Asylum

As you enter the asylum you will be greeted with a wall-vandal "LOOK BEHIND YOU" as your flashlight starts to flicker, when you actually look behind you there will be a creeper watching you accompanied with two silent creepers both on your left and your right. They will not move out and chase you so don't get too shabby yet. Go to the right where you'll see another wall-vandal saying "FIND THE CURE OR DIE". Alex will then starts talking and tells you that he wants to go back out now, so go back to the asylum door.

You will notice that door has been blocked by some kind of wall so you need to find and explore the asylum for another way out. Follow the rest of the corridor until you find an elevator. The objectives will then tell you that the elevator will need a level 1 security card in order to use it. Go back again and you'll see that the storage room's door has been destroyed. Go inside it and there will be a note there lying on the table.

After you read the note, go back out and you will a "boom" sound and the testing room's door is now open. Go there and as you enter the room another mementos will scare you. Pickup the security card on the floor just straight from the door then quickly run to the elevator for as soon as you picked up the card, a creeper will chase you and if he got you, you'll die and have to start the stage again. When you finally arrive at the elevator, immediately press E to open it and once your inside, press E again to close it. You must do this as fast as you can or the creeper will follow you inside the elevator and then your dead.

Operating Room

The game begins as the elevator doors slide open. On your left, there's a sign saying something like you must seek medical if smoke is inhaled or something. On your right will be the map of the building, read it otherwise the doors won't be opened. Go to the left door right beside the sign, you'll enter a room full of beds and in the end of it there's another door.

You will now find yourself in a deadly corridor. Go to your left and in the floor you'll find a note stating that James (the protagonist of the first game) is valid for an experiment or something. You'll also discover that James is your long lost brother. Follow the rest of corridor and you'll see a door that leads you in to the lounge area. Inside you'll see another door, go through it. You should just keep the door opened. Follow the path and you'll see two doors leading to the sleeping quarters of the scientists.Go through the second door on the left and once you're inside of it, you'll find a level 2 security card, pick it up.After that, run back to the lounge as quick as possible for you'll be chased by a silent creeper just as you walk out of the door. Remember I told you to keep the door opened on the lounge? Yep, that's the purpose of it. Now quickly enter the lounge and close the door.

Go back to the corridor and run again to the elevator for another stalker will chase you. If you can close a door on your way, do it, it will block the stalker from chasing you.

Now go to the door where you find the map. You'll be in a storage-like room filled with boxes and drawers. At the farther right on room you'll find a door leading to another corridor. Once you're in the corridor, run as quick as possible all the way to the end of it 'cause you'll be chased by another silent creeper. You'll see two doors at the end of the corridor, go with the one on the left. The right door will just leads you an office.

You are now in the meeting room. Go through the door by the end of it and it will lead you downstairs to the next level.

Tips:
  • On the first corridor you enter (where you find the note about James), don't go right or a stalker will appear right in front of you and chase you.
  • There's an easter egg on this stage. On the meeting room where you'll see a big TV, go near it and press E. The picture-frames around the room will change to a bunch of screenshots of the gameplays of Courage. You'll even see Markiplier there.

Control Room

This is one of the trickiest stages in this game. Don't worry there are no enemies on this stage, only a mind-bending puzzle that is nearly impossible to solve without a walkthrough.

Just as you start the stage, you will find a note on the floor saying that the numbers written on the wall is the pattern to access the hidden room. On the left wall of the room, you'll see a wall-vandal saying "1647.0300.0025" and on the right wall of the room, you will see another wall-vandal with a bunch of circles. This circles represents the computers on the room:

O   O          O   O
O   O   O   O           O   O   O   O

If you draw these circles on a paper and place the numbers inside of it, you'll have this:

1   6          4   7
0   3   0   0          0   0   2   5

Its the pattern. 1 means this is the computer that you'll have to switch on first, 2 as the second, 3 as third and so on until you reach 7. Zeros means you don't have to press this ones. After you turned on the 7th computer, the wall in front of you will slide open giving you a passage way to the hidden room.

Once you enter it, your flashlight will turn off and you will not be able to move. Spectator then introduces himself to you and teaches some words of wisdom which ends up in two choices - get out or continue your foolish quest. After he's done talking a light will turn on which reveals two doors, one on the left and one on the right. You'll also find a writing on the floor like "be a fool this way" and "be a coward this way". If you go through the right door, it will automatically close and you'll fall into a flaming pit which kills you. So if that was the door you picked then you'll end up starting the stage again.

Meanwhile, go to the left door and try to open it. It will then ask you for a master card. The master card can be found on the room right in front of you where there's a door without a floor-vandal on it. The card is lying on the floor, pick it up and then go back to the left door. As you open it you'll see a button of some sort, go ahead and press it. Spectator will then tells you how stupid you are to fight him and then transports you to a maze.

Tips:
  • If you made as mistake on the computer-puzzle thingy, you can start over again on first computer. No need to restart the level.

The Maze

Ok this is the part that no one can beat in a single setting. If you have no walkthrough on how to beat the maze, then you're probably stuck in this stage for this is the hardest of them all.

The stage will start and Spectator will starts talking to you about the mechanics of the maze. He says that in the end of this maze is the main control room and if you're really that devoted to your misplaced courage then go for it along with the monsters that will chase you.

Ok here it goes, I'll be quick on this one so just follow everything I say:
  • After Spectator is done talking, go ahead and take the right path. Don't go left 'cause it will only leads into a dead end and a stalker waiting for you.
  • Then go left and then left again.
  • Hurry up take the first right you'll see 'cause there's gonna be a creeper right behind you.
  • Follow the rest of your way but don't run, a stalker will then appear in front of you so run back and hide behind the wall right before you turn.
  • Turn off your flashlight for about 15 seconds and then the stalker will be gone there.
  • Go back to where you meet the stalker and run ahead for another silent creeper will be following you.
  • Take the left
  • Take the right
  • Go straight, don't take left one, its a dead end.
  • Go straight again and don't take the right one, but this time slow down for another stalker will appear right in front of you. Just go back again and hide and turn off your flashlight for about 15 seconds just like you did a while ago.
  • Go back where you meet the stalker and go straight then left.
  • Go left
  • Go right
  • Go left again
  • Then FINALLY go right and you'll see a door leading to the main control room. Enter it.
If you really can't solve this maze even if you follow the walkthrough. I'll make a walkthrough of it on Youtube some time later.

The Epilogue

Finally we've reached the last stage. Just go ahead and push the button and see the magic of the story happens.

Thank you for reading my walkthrough and don't forget to share it other players out there who have been stuck right on the very first stage of the game! Peace!
